Don’t forget place cards for your summer party. Traditionally used for formal events such as wedding receptions, place cards at a casual summer affair will leave your guests feeling special as they run around barefoot in your back yard.

Because it’s just not a party without a refreshing beverage, I want to share a family favorite. Pineapple Sangria, ahhhhh! Now go out and play!

Tropical Sangria

1 cup pineapple juice
1/2 cup lime juice
1 (11.5-oz.) can mango nectar
1/3 cup sugar
1 (750-ml.) bottle fruity white wine
Lime slices, peeled pineapple and mango slices
1 1/2 cups lime flavored sparkling water

Directions

1. Stir together juices, liqueur and sugar until sugar has dissolved.
2. Place all ingredients, except sparkling water or champagne, in a pitcher or jug and chill until ready to serve.
3. Just before serving, add sparkling water or champagne.
4. Pour over ice-filled glasses and garnish with fruit slices.

Tip: Make your sangrias ahead and let them steep for a few hours for maximum flavor.
Tip: Everyone’s taste buds are different. Adjust the sweetness level by adding more sugar and/or lime juice.

Invite Design — Going Green

Invite Design recently launched a new web site as well as an "environmentally conscientious" Green Line. Not only are these invitations eco-friendly but they are absolutely gorgeous. There are so many options to choose from.

All Green Line invitations and envelopes are printed on 100% recycled or tree-free content with environmentally-friendly inks. These invitations can be customized just like the previous Select and Elite invite collections.

Putting all of this together is a lot of work and an extreme amount of time and research. I'm very happy for Genevieve and Nicole on the launch of this new Green Line. Congrats!

Kristy emailed me to tell me about her custom invites and stationery. Kristy's website is called Momental and she creates invites for all occasions. Another cool etsy shop this morning, Crescent Moon Paper Co. I've been spending a lot of time looking through etsy lately. Crescent Moon Paper Co. offers custom invitations for any event.
