Consumer Crafts

Wednesday, October 31, 2007

I've been patiently waiting to tell you about this new web site. I figured a lot of my readers are crafty people so hope you all enjoy this site. My husband got a new job last November and building this site was the first project he was assigned to. Finally it is completed.

I think the site stands out from a lot of it's competitors. It is neatly organized and easy to find what you're looking for. The site contains over 4,000 products and is updated monthly. You can also find tips, techniques and a project gallery.

Consumer Crafts is offering FREE SHIPPING. Just enter promo code freeshipping during checkout. Let me know what you think of the site. I'm sure my husband and his team would appreciate some feedback.

Contest — Craft my ride!

Wednesday, September 19, 2007

Scion is currently holding a contest called Craft my ride. If you are crafty you can win a 2008 Scion. All you have to do is design a unique handmade car accessory (Any item used as an embellishment or as a functional enhancement to the vehicle. This can include classic items such as a key chain, car cover, seat cover, floor mat, steering wheel cover, drink holder, or any other idea that pops into your head.). You have until October 22nd to upload your images. Selected finalists will then be required to mail in their designs. Of course 1st place is the 2008 Scion but 2nd place wins $1,000.00 and 3rd place wins $500.00. Good luck! Click here to enter.

Kirigami

Wednesday, July 18, 2007

Speaking of Origami, Kiragami seems pretty similar. Aren't these beautiful? I'm curious if lilzabubba sells these anywhere. I think they would look stunning in a frame.

Origami - Finger Magic

Finger Magic sells origami kits. You can make gift boxes, greeting cards and even jewelry. There are some great tutorials on the site. They are so cute, I love the little frogs.

Unfortunately, I don't think I have the patience to make something like this. I'm a graphic designer but when it comes to cutting and folding, I'm not so good. Ask Natasha, she knows I have a hard time cutting a straight line.
