OrangeTree Project

Tuesday, August 7, 2007

These cute notecards are from the shop at OrangeTree Project. OrangeTree Project is a non-profit organization that is promoting hope and faith in less fortunate families. The goal of OrangeTree Project is to make a positive impact on people who purchase their products. Right now you can purchase stationery products from the website. Soon you will be able to purchase apparel, accessories, prints and home decor.

"We are a group of designers that felt a strong need to give back to our community. Our goal is to serve others by doing what we do best: creating fresh, inspiring design. So we started OrangeTree Project, a line of original products that have both contemporary appeal and an inspiring message. Established as a non-profit organization (pending), OrangeTree Project uses only those funds required to maintain daily operations, directing the bulk of its earnings towards select charitable causes."

Paper Shop ink. Notecards

Wednesday, July 25, 2007

One year ago today I lost one of my best friends, my grandpa. He passed away from cancer after battling the disease for over a year. Ever since that day I donate as much as I can to the cancer society. Today and for all of next week all profits made from the sale of the notecards above will be donated to the american cancer society.

Cards are 4.25 x 5.5. The notecards are blank on the inside but if you would like something custom printed on the inside just let me know. I'm more than happy to do that. The cost is $18.00 for 10 cards and envelopes. There is no shipping cost to anywhere in the USA. At this time payments can be made through paypal at candis@papershopink.com . These cards will be added the the store later on this month.

Unrelated but Important

Wednesday, July 18, 2007

About 2 months ago I met Ramona Rusell, founder of Type A Solutions over the phone. After we spoke I went to her website and browsed around for a while. I found a page on her site talking about her sister Liz. My heart sank reading the story Ramona told. Her sister passed away from Breast Cancer at the age of 28. At the time Ramona was raising money for Relay for Life, a walk celebrating those who have passed away from cancer. Ramona and her team raised $22,000 this year.

Last night I received and email from Ramona about a new website called Uptown Liz. Uptown Liz promotes products from companies whose proceeds directly give back to charitable organizations. Liz was a fashionista and Uptown Liz was created in her memory.

So, next time you plan to do some online shopping check out Uptown Liz first. Why not give back to a charity close to your heart while shopping?
