Smock

I instantly fell in love with this website. Located in Syracuse New York, Smock is a letterpress shop with 20 antique presses. All printing is on luxury bamboo paper. Smock is the first and currently the only print shop to offer printing on this kind of sustainable paper. Visit the Smock website to find a retailer near you. Their work looks amazing online so I'm guessing it's even more beautiful in person.

Thought these journals were cool. They link together so you can have three separate journals or one. You can take them apart just as easily as you put them together. They are 6 x 8 inches and each have 48 pages.

Bond Bond

Joan wrote to me a week or so ago telling me about her stationery company called Bond Bond. I thought I would share her story with you on how the company got started.

"The idea for Bond Bond emerged from a phone conversation while sitting in carpool. When I worked full-time, my oldest daughter had to attend pre-school. She started reading at age 3! So, to encourage her to continue reading and to let her know I was thinking of her while we were apart, I put a note in her lunchbox everyday. She really looked forward to these notes and continues to enjoy these notes. Well...fast forward to sitting in carpool last year talking to my best friend (a stay-at-home-mom with an MBA). She thought it was a great idea to sell these notes. Bond Bond was born.

Now, we offer notepads for parents, teachers or caregivers to write encouraging notes to kids. We offer humorous beverage napkins, t-shirts, notepads for adults and a special line of notepads for parents. We have a nice selection of note cards also---all of these products aim to encourage connecting with those you care about and making life easier by being organized and maybe having a good laugh."

Ubiki

When I first started this blog Sion from Ubiki was probably one of my first readers. She gave me a lot of support through her blog at the time, cuteable.com. I was instantly a huge fan of the work Sion talked about on cuteable but also of the work she created at Ubiki. I have a few of her designs hanging around my house but I was happy to read on the Ubiki blog that she has created some new artwork. You can purchase Sion's artwork at etsy.

Katie Muth

I'm still a huge fan of Katie Muth. Recently I got an email from Katie about her new line of desk accessories. Of course they are gorgeous. The journals are lino cut and hand printed on canvas card stock. There are currently two styles posted on Katie's site with matching pencil cups and of course cards.

Rifferaff Screenprinted Paper Goods

I wasn't sure how I wanted to start this post but I thought I'd just jump right back in to posting about all the good stuff this blog is about.

Just a few quick things first.... I'm glad to have the blog updated and I now feel better about the look and feel. I fell behind on getting the shop updated but it will eventually happen. I've spent the last few months working hard at my full time job and have also been consistently updating my other blog. I enjoy this blog though and vow to make a better effort at updating it frequently. So now I'm posting again on a regular basis but heading out of town until the 17th. I'll try to post some stuff while I'm gone but will be back for sure on 6/17.


Getting back to Rifferaff Screenprinted Paper Goods. Shannon Riffe is the owner of this etsy shop which features silkscreened papers. All papers are silkscreened by hand onto 19 x 25 sheets of 70# text weight paper. All paper is made from 100% recycled content which is hand pulled, trimmed and packaged by Shannon.
