I know this is an awful photograph and please ignore the ugly antenna my husband uses to pick up football games in
HD. We recently bought this entertainment center and having empty shelves drives me crazy. I need some major help with this. Since most of the readers here are probably pretty creative or crafty I thought that I would ask for some help. If you make something that think would look good on the shelf please
email me or just comment on this post. If I buy what you suggest I'll write a post about it. Thanks!

i think it would be a GREAT idea to pick out a design you like in my shop, i'll print it out as a regular flat notecard and then you can frame it as a piece of lovely art :-)
now THAT'S a good idea!
Hummm, mine is completely filled with books! Im so addicted to books that every 'inch' available on my shelves is a space to fit one more book ;) Some mini vases and some photographs would work well too. I hope this helps :)
Well, since you ask...
How about a nice bright pink and green snail

(but I agree, books are best for covering shelves)
I think the antenna adds some spice to the room and fills the house with Football goodness!
Under the Tv I'd put a rectangle shaped vase stuffed with twigs and I'd do the same for the top of both shelves. You could even glue hemp twine to the bottom of the vases.
On the other shelves, I'd put mini colors chinese lanterns (6-8"?), one or two in each. You could then get some cool colored books (second hand?) and stack them in one. Maybe some different sized candles (take them out of the shelves to burn :). A couple picture frames (mini ones would look great 3-4" with a larger one behind). This shop on Etsy has amazing pictures that are small: http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5517091
Hope that helps some! If you want more ideas, you can write me (:
could you get some really nice quality neutralish wrapping paper or wallpaper with a nice simple design in the backs of the shelves to beak up the blackness? X
