Consumer Crafts

I've been patiently waiting to tell you about this new web site. I figured a lot of my readers are crafty people so hope you all enjoy this site. My husband got a new job last November and building this site was the first project he was assigned to. Finally it is completed.

I think the site stands out from a lot of it's competitors. It is neatly organized and easy to find what you're looking for. The site contains over 4,000 products and is updated monthly. You can also find tips, techniques and a project gallery.

Consumer Crafts is offering FREE SHIPPING. Just enter promo code freeshipping during checkout. Let me know what you think of the site. I'm sure my husband and his team would appreciate some feedback.

Hand Stitched Notepads

These hand stitched notepads are from the etsy shop of Shiny Black Shoes. Large pads are 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" and the smaller pads are 3 1/2" x 4 1/4". These colors are great for fall. Here in Ohio we don't get much of a Fall season. One day it's 70 degrees and the next day it will drop to 30 degrees. We basically go from Summer to Winter pretty quickly. So, I have to enjoy fall in other ways.

The etsy shop of Just Another Day has some beautiful holiday cards and tags. However it's not even November yet and I think I've viewed to much holiday stationery. So, I thought I would post a few other designs from Just Another Day. These cards are 5.5" x 4.5" and blank on the inside. You get 4 per pack.

Posh Papers

Posh Papers is an online paper boutique created and maintained by Christine Mattson. This online shop happens to carry one of my favorite stationery lines, Mariella Designs (pictured above). The butterfly is my favorite. Most of the designers represented on Posh Papers are small women-owned businesses.

Christine also has a unique feature on her site called "Personal Shopper". Just send an email about what you're looking for and Christine will find it for you!

Sugarcube Gift Tags

I keep finding so many cool gift tags. This is perfect since the holidays are coming up but gift tags always seem to come in handy. These tags are from the etsy shop of Sugarcube. I thought the graphic numbers was unique. You could tie one of these tags onto a child's gift with the number matching their age.

Flavor Paper Wallcoverings

I totally forgot about this fabulous web site. If you're looking for some unique wallpaper you can definitely find it here. "Flavor Paper produces unique vintage, contemporary and custom handscreened wallcoverings that will add a burst of flavor to any environment."

Flavor Paper released twelve new patterns in the Spring of 2007. Included in this release was the Scratch and Sniff wallpaper collection. The wallpaper actually smells like fruit. You can also order these prints without the scent but what fun would that be?

I wish I could make stuff out of paper like this. My house would be filled! These paper sculptures by Richard Sweeney are just amazing! I love when I find stuff like this on the web, it's so beautiful and made out of such a simple item.

The last image is from an installation at the DKNY flagship store in London.

Swoozies

Swoozies is a great web site with an assortment of designer invitations. This is a great site to find stationery gift items. Many of the items can be personalized with a name or initials. Swoozies is currently celebrating their 6 year anniversary. I've never heard of them before but it looks like the people behind Swoozies know how to sell great paper products! They have a ton of products so check out the site when you have some free time.

Cecily Ink

Sometimes I think a beautiful extraordinary card is better than a gift. I would be so happy to receive something in the mail that looked like this. These birthday cards from Cecily Ink are so beautiful. The card actually comes with a matching 41 cent postage stamp. What a great idea! The stamp helps create such a completed look to the card set.

Blush - Your Topless Undershirts

This is way off the subject of stationery but I just had to tell you about these undershirts. These topless undershirts let you get the look of layering without adding straps or an extra bulky layer. You can adjust the topless undershirt to be any length you want by pulling it up or down.

And look how cute they are for maternity! You can still wear your shirts that get to short by adding a topless shirt underneath. Sweet!

Print Maker Jenn

I spent a lot of time on etsy last night as I sadly watched the Indians lose to the Red Sox. I really hope we can win this series!

This pear card from Print Maker Jenn grabbed my eye immediately. I love the color combination. The card is a digital illustration printed on linen textured cardstock. Size is 4.25" x 5.5".

Jenn has a lot of cool prints in her shop too. I'm hoping to have some more time this weekend to look at them.

Cake and Milk Paperie

These everyday notes from Cake and Milk Paperie are perfect for everyday note writing. (first image) The cards are printed with assorted phrases.

I also really like the sewn ric rac cards. For some reason I'm always drawn to stationery items that have yarn or thread on them. It adds texture and design at the same time.

That's how long it took me to fall in love with these cards. Aren't they beautiful? I love the detail and the color contrast. These laser-cut cards are blank on the inside and printed on 30% recycled paper. The cards are sold in a set of 6 with matching envelopes.

Blend Creations also has some really nice jewelry. Make sure to check it out right here. Thanks for the email Vivian!!

Follow me on Twitter

Has anyone joined twitter yet? I recently joined with a personal site and this morning signed up under PaperShop_ink. So far I'm really enjoying the site and I think it is a great resource. If you're interested in the Paper Shop ink. blog, here is how twitter can help you.

Twitter sort of works like a mass email except it doesn't have to go to your inbox. Your messages can go to your phone, a widget, your Instant Messenger or you can just check them on the twitter website. I'll be updating the PaperShop_ink twitter page about what I'm looking to post about and about how the site is going to be updated. If you're interested click here and sign up. Follow me to twitter!

Matte Stephens

I’m sure most of you are familiar with the artwork of Matte Stephens. Currently I really love this style. So today I was browsing through the shop trying to decide which piece of art I wanted to buy. Of course the one I decided on (picture 3 above) was sold right in front of my eyes. One second it was for sale and the next second it was gone! Just my luck. So now I am undecided again...
