Anna Dove

I was reading the October issue of Domino on my way back from Chicago last weekend and came across some beautiful images featuring the work of Anna Dove. Anna creates printed and hand-painted wallpapers and fabrics. When I got home from Chicago I couldn't wait to visit her website. The image on the home page is so stunning.

I don't have much to say about these cool cards from Vanessa Cavaco other than I have a short list of people to send the "shut the f up" one to. I'm sure everyone else out there has a list of their own. :) Anyway, Vanessa does have an awesome etsy shop. Check it out here.

Halloween Stationery

After finding Tara Hogan's awesome Halloween cards yesterday, I thought I would check to see what other cool stuff I could find for this spooky holiday. Below are some of my favorites.


Assorted Halloween tags from Petite Pear Paperie. Each tag is 1.5" and comes with black string. Reverse side is white with room for writing. All tags are packaged in a resealable poly bag.

Set of 4 skull and bones note cards from pressure letterpress. Best described as "Silvery and glamtastic". You can choose black or red envelopes. A silver pen is also included with every order.


These are probably my favorite from turtle papers. Set includes 6 flat cards and 6 European inspired pointed flap envelopes. Cards are printed on highest quality correspondence luxe natural white textured cover stock with archival inks.


Miscelena's etsy shop has some cool Halloween cards. You can never go wrong with spiders and bats. The inside is blank for your message. Card is approximately 4"w x 5.25"h, and includes a subtly-speckled paper envelope.

Halloween with Tara Hogan

I'm not sure why but Halloween is my least favorite holiday. I think you either love it or you hate it and I hate it. However, I love these Halloween cards by Tara Hogan. Momental Designs

Kristy emailed me to tell me about her custom invites and stationery. Kristy's website is called Momental and she creates invites for all occasions. I was looking through the site and one thing I really liked about Kristy's work is the variety she displays. There are many different styles present on her site. So, no matter what you're looking for chances are that Kristy is going to be able to help you out.

Back from Chicago

We just got back from Chicago tonight. I love that city and there is so much to do but by the time I get home I'm always so exhausted. We had a really good weekend though. On Friday we went to see the Cubs play the Pirates. Visited a nice beach for some relaxation time on Saturday morning. Saturday afternoon we did some shopping which included stopping by my favorite store of all time, Paper Source. (Maybe someday they will open a Cleveland location.) Then later on that night we had some drinks at Bin 36. We also ate at Giordano's TWICE during our trip! That is the best pizza ever. I'm sad our weekend is over already. Time goes by so fast when you're having fun. ha ha!

I first came across the blog A Field Journal and then the etsy shop that belonged to the same owner. Natural Historie is filled with gorgeous items. I love all the color combinations. I was having a very stressful day and when I found this site I instantly felt a little more relaxed and inspired.

Hollabee

Love these fabrics from the etsy shop of Hollabee. But again I don't know how to sew, so unfortunately I can't make anything from these awesome fabrics. Can someone make me a bag??? Just kidding!

Yesterday I got an invitation from Brooke to be her friend on indiepublic. After I accepted her invitation of course I had to check out her etsy shop, Magnolia Grace. Another cool etsy shop this morning, Crescent Moon Paper Co. I've been spending a lot of time looking through etsy lately. Crescent Moon Paper Co. offers custom invitations for any event. When you are trying to personalize a specific event I truly believe etsy is the best resource. There are so many talented artists on etsy, your guaranteed to find something you like.

Kokoro Kara Notepads

I thought these little animal notepads from the etsy shop of Kokoro Kara were so cute. The front and back is made of foam and the inside has 80 lined pages.

I think I was drawn to these journals because of the color combination. These journals are called "Take me too books" from lovelydesign. They are constructed from vintage maps and a heavy weight paper. Unfortunately they are sold out. Hopefully the shop will be updated in the future with more of these books

Specialty Cards 4U

Fiona from Cartolina Cards emailed me the other day to tell me about this great website she found. I have to agree that the products on Specialty Cards 4U are pretty unique. Each card for sale on the website is handmade and different from the next. Specialty Cards 4U also does custom invitations and announcements. I believe Specialty Cards 4U is located in Cincinnati but I couldn't find an exact address. I enjoy finding creative companies from Ohio, even though Cincinnati is a little far from Cleveland.

Avie Designs

Avie Designs updated their etsy shop yesterday. You can now purchase these lard adhesive labels that are shown in the first image above. These labels would be cool to use instead of a gift tag. I'm always looking for creative packaging designs. Avie Designs has some awesome stationery as well. Make sure to check out the updated shop!

Creative Ideas?

I'd like to use these large 9 x 12 envelopes from Paper Source for a direct mail campaign we are doing at work. We'll also be using the matching presentation folders. Since the envelopes and folders are black we cannot print on them. Can anyone suggest a creative way of putting our logo on these materials? I'm a little hesitant to use stickers or labels.

Lizard Press

Lizard Press is an etsy shop filled with letterpress stationery. On the Lizard Press blog there is a good post about what goes into letterpress pricing. This is a great read. I know the basics about letterpress but I enjoy reading about it from people who actually make letterpress stationery.

The sun and moon cards pictured above are printed on one of my favorite papers, Fox River's recycled Confetti. The cards are made with vintage wood type and contemporary polymer plates.

The Congratulations card above is a reprint of William Morris' wallpaper designs from the 1800's. Interesting!

Round Robin Press

Not only are these cards adorable but they are plant-able. Round Robin Press is owned by artist Shannon Lowry. Shannon created this line of eco-friendly recycled tree free and plant-able cards in addition to her custom announcements and invitations. The plant-able cards grow into basil, chives or wildflowers. I've noticed more eco-friendly plant-able cards lately, but I'd have to say these are the cutest ones I have seen.

The Crafty Kitten Journals
