Paper Stories

These letterpress notecards from Paper Stories are beautiful. They are based off vintage embroidery patterns. It almost looks like they are embroidered, but they're not. Paper Stories also has a nice collection of wedding stationery. You can purchase on the Paper Stories website or at etsy.

thomaspaul

I love thomaspaul. I came across this canvas art on Graham & Brown this morning. Then I realized that the Thomaspual website has been updated. Definitely check out the bags. Maybe one day we will be able to buy directly from thomaspaul. That would be so nice.

Giveaway!

I feel bad. Lately I have been swamped at work and have not been able to post quite as much as I'd like to. It's also nearing the end of summer so my evenings and weekends seem to be completely booked with summer festivities.

So... I hope this giveaway makes up for my lack of posts. Post a comment below and be entered to win something from the Paper Shop ink. shop. To visit the shop click here. The winner can spend $50.00 in the shop with free shipping. (excludes the tropical wedding invites)

Good Luck!

Contest ends Sunday Sept. 2 at 12:00 am EST.

The Paper Studio

The Paper Studio has a huge collection of decorative papers. These would be great for scrapbooking or card making. I always want to buy stuff like this, but then unsure what I would actually do with it. Next month we are going to Chicago and this becomes an issue when I walk into the Paper-Source store. I just want to buy everything!

Letterpress by Armato

This is a great video of the letterpress process. The video shows the work of Armato design & press from Minneapolis. Armato has an etsy shop with some gorgeous paper products. This is a great find. I'm going to try to post some more products from Armato later on. For now check out this video if you have an interest in letterpress.

Poppytalk - Call for Submissions

I wanted to post this last week but time slipped away. Jan from Poppytalk is opening a shop in October called Poppytalk Handmade. Right now Jan is looking for products to place in the shop. Jan says that the shop is going to be like a real street/flea market featuring indie sellers. If you would like to submit your work to Poppytalk or to learn more click here. I'm very excited about this new shop and wish Jan lots of luck!

Write Robinson Stationery

Angel from Write Robinson recently sent me an email to let me know about her stationery. I'd actually seen some of her work posted on cuteable a few weeks ago. I love the image with the draw string bag. You can see how much time and thought goes into Angel's work.

Each card from Write Robinson is different from the next. No two cards will ever be the same. However the high level of quality will be noticed in each piece.

Angel tells a great story about her love for paper and how her company began. If you'd like to read more about her story, click here.

Now is a great time to make a purchase from Write Robinson. From now until the end of September you can receive 20% off your order. Enter the code "PAPERSHOPINK" when checking out. Thanks Angel for this great offer!

Modern Printed Matter

This morning I came across this gorgeous etsy shop called Modern Printed Matter. Everything in this shop is beautiful. I especially loved the card above with the ribbon. The etsy shop of Modern Printed Matter has only been open since July 15th, so far it looks like business has been pretty good. I thought these products looked familiar and eventually realized this shop was also just featured on decor8.

Ferm Living

I'm a little late on posting this but Ferm Living has some new wallpaper designs. I just love them all. I wallpapered my half bath a few months ago and was so pleased with the way it came out. Eventually I would love to wallpaper another room with something from Ferm Living. It's so great that Ferm Living is now available in the US.

Calendar Tags

These are great. I never know what day it is. I'm not sure what I would do with them but they're cute and colorful. Maybe I could stick them on the top of my monitor. They're great for scrapbooking but I'm not a scrapbook person. You can purchase these calendar tags here in Elle's studio on etsy.

For more ideas on how to use these check out Elle's blog.

Papierwelt

I love these images from Ursula Achten. Things made from paper really fascinate me. They're so fragile but so detailed. I can't image the time that goes into creating things like this from paper.

Gift Wrap, Recycle and Reuse

I was recently asked by a local magazine to put together some unique ideas for wrapping gifts. The article won't be published til October. Since most of my readers probably do not live in Cleveland I think it's ok to post. These ideas come from items that are found around your house or your office. There are so many things you can reuse to create cool gift wrap. You can view the ideas by clicking here. If the type is to small on the screen you should be able to double click and enlarge the copy.

Above is an image from one of my favorite unique wrapping ideas, Furochic Gift Wrap by Jenny Wren Paperie. I have posted about this before, but I just love it. This is also eco-friendly. You can reuse the gift bag as a purse. It would also be easy to recreate something like this... you can read more about that in the list.

JHillDesign

I was looking for things related to Chicago (since we are going there soon) and came across these notecards from JHill Design. I love the idea and inspiration behind the work of Jennifer Hill. These notecards are based on the statement "Places I've Never Been". On the notecards you can find influential information regarding the place that is being represented. You can definitely tell how much thought and time goes into this work. I love it.

Loose Petals

I appreciate when readers submit links letting me know about cool sites. That's how I came across Loose Petals. This is a great site to find a wide variety of greeting cards. Loose Petals is based in Chicago and all cards are made from recycled papers. The client list of Loose Petals is pretty impressive. Clients include Anthropologie, Kate's Paperie, Paper Source, Sur La Table and many more!

Trip to Chicago

My husband and I are heading to Chicago in a few weeks. The air fare was just to good to pass up... $49.00 each way. Who could resist??? We have been to Chicago a few times but we'd like to do some different things this time. If anyone has the inside scoop to Chicago we would appreciate some tips. Thanks!

Gocco Gift Tags

I still love gocco. These gocco gift tags are from the etsy shop of Things are Better with a Parrot. I'm always scrambling around trying to make gift tags to go with my gifts. Sometimes it's just as nice to have a beautiful gift tag as a card. It would definately be a good idea to gift tags like these on hand. Sarah is the owner of this shop, and you can find her blog here.

Make sure to check Sarah's shop tomorrow, 8/22. She is adding new items. Can't wait to check it out.

Amy Butler Bag from Etsy

I wanted to share with you what I bought from etsy last night. I love Amy Butler's fabrics but I don't sew. So, yesterday I decided I was going to buy something made from Amy Butler's designs. I'm not joking when I say I shopped online all day to find this bag. It was a very hard decision. After hours of shopping this is the bag I ended up deciding on from the etsy shop of Maiden Saks. Can't wait to get it!

Chapel Press

From wedding invitations to recipe journals, Chapel Press produces beautiful products. The recipe book is my favorite item. Currently I have a recipe drawer with a bunch of loose papers floating around. (not very organized in the recipe department).

The Chapel Press website is very well designed and easy to navigate through. Love the colors of the site.

Modest Mouse

Every once in a while I have the urge to post about music. Actually I could post about music everyday but that's not what this blog is about. Last night my husband and I went to see Modest Mouse. I must say I was presently surprised. They put on a much better show than expected. The venue wasn't the best but still a great performance. Click here to listen.

I live for concerts and I still have a few more to attend this summer. Linkin Park is in town tonight but I couldn't get my husband to attend another Linkin Park show with me. Maybe next time.

Start Here Linkable Notebooks

These notebooks from Start Here are so neat! You can buy them blank, as sets, lined, in three levels or as a planner. You just slide the back cover of one book into the front cover of another. You can add color tabs or adhesive pockets to the notebooks at an additional cost. Another great thing is that they are very affordable.

John McDonald Design

These are two cards from the Celestial Kaleidoscope collection from John McDonald Designs. The cards are 4.5" x 6.25" and blank on the inside. I loved the description about these cards on the website. It reads: "These cards, reflective of mandalas, take their inspiration from the heavens. They are as if the viewer were looking at stars through a kaleidoscope."
