My House

Monday, July 30, 2007

One thing I really need to do this summer is add some personal touches to the house. I'd really love some advice on what to do in the family room. The back wall behind the couch is so large and I'm not sure what to hang there. I'm also trying to find something for above the fireplace.

I was trying to find something I liked over at the decor8 rooms I *heart* flickr page. It's a great resource.

You have a good point Casey. However I find when I try to design something for myself I am never satisfied with it. I know I would change the design a million times and still want to change it once I hung it on the wall. :) I wish I wasn't like that....

You house is gorgeous! I just love your colors!

I have the exact set-up in my family room, with a huge space on that wall behind the sofa. I ended up making a grouping of large matted b&w family photos, since it's the family room and all :)
Good luck, hope you find something that makes you happy.

Oh, and thank you so much for writing about Wee Little Designs in the post below. I just happened upon it! Very nice of you :)

How about a series of botanical prints and a few unique prints compiled on the wall in different sized frames? Your colors are so warm it's just calling for some handmade art.
